Payroll On The Run ("the App") is developed by Segat. This policy explains how we handle sensitive employee and financial data.

1. Data Storage & Sovereignty

The App operates on a Local Storage Only model. All data entered (employee names, ID numbers, salaries, and tax records) is stored exclusively on your device’s internal encrypted storage. We do not host, transmit, or store your data on our servers.

2. POPIA Compliance

The App is designed to assist you in being compliant with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Since you control the device and the database, you remain the responsible party for the data.

3. Device Permissions

Storage (Media/Files): Required to save PDF payslips and CSV reports to your device.
Camera: Required only if you choose to take photos of employees for their profiles.

4. Financial Information

We do not collect banking details. Any banking info entered into the App stays on your phone and is only used to generate payslip records for your employees.
